Challenge
Merchants abandoned onboarding at 61% because the console spoke banking, not business. Settlement questions dominated support.
Strategy
We rewrote the information hierarchy around one question: where is my money right now? Everything else moved a level down.
Design direction
A dense but breathable dashboard grid, monospace numerals, and a settlement clock that shows funds moving in real time.
Build
TypeScript, streaming ledger updates over websockets, and a permissions model that survives multi-outlet franchises.
Launch
Shipped as an opt-in beta to 400 merchants, then defaulted on after two weeks of clean telemetry.
