natpix

studio · est. 2018 · 24 people

Design without technology is decoration.

natpix is a multidisciplinary studio. Designers, engineers, marketers and game makers in the same room, working on the same problem, arguing productively. We take on fewer projects than we're asked to, and we stay long enough to see the numbers.

principles

How we think.

Four rules we apply before anyone opens a canvas or an editor.

01

Evidence before taste

We look at analytics, tickets and recordings before we open a canvas. Taste decides the how, evidence decides the what.

02

One opinion per project

Three directions get explored, two get killed on purpose. Committees produce averages; we'd rather be right or wrong clearly.

03

Ship to learn

A staging URL from day three. Real content, real devices, real feedback long before a launch date is discussed.

04

Leave it maintainable

Tokens, tests and documentation are part of the deliverable. If your team can't change it without us, we failed.

history

Eight years, roughly.

A studio that grew a discipline at a time, never all at once.

  1. 2018

    Two people, one contract

Founded around a single hospitality rebrand that turned into a booking platform.

  2. 2020

    Engineering practice

Design stopped handing files over the wall. We started shipping the thing we drew.

  3. 2022

    First game shipped

Arcadia proved that play mechanics belong in products, not only in stores.

  4. 2024

    Intelligence team

Agents, automation and evaluation added as a discipline with its own rules.

  5. 2026

    Four categories, one studio

Twenty-five capabilities reorganised around how clients actually buy.

rituals

How the week runs.

  • Monday teardown

Forty minutes pulling apart something we shipped, or somebody else did.

  • Friday playtest

Everything gets played, including the website. Newest hire drives.

  • Written decisions

Every significant choice gets a paragraph and a 'what would change our mind'.

  • No account layer

You talk to the people who design and build the work. Always.

engagement

What it's like to work with us.

01

Week one

Interviews, analytics teardown and a written problem statement you can argue with.

02

Every two weeks

A demo on a staging URL, a short written update, and the next two weeks scoped.

03

After launch

Instrumented against the metric agreed in week one, with a standing experiment backlog.

capability

Four categories.

Six creative worlds behind them, but this is the honest map.
