Mobile-first is a sequencing decision, not a breakpoint

Compression is not design
A three-column grid squeezed into one column is an accident, not a decision. Mobile deserves its own composition: different order, different emphasis, sometimes different content.

Design the thumb path
Sketch where the thumb lives before you sketch the layout. Primary actions belong in the bottom third. Navigation that requires a stretch is navigation that goes unused.
